How Does the Slewing Ring Bearing Adapt to the Temperature and Working Environment?

Slewing ring bearing is called the "joint of the machine" in the machinery industry, supporting the relative reversal movement between two objects. It is an important transmission element required for the machinery subjected to axial force, radial force, and tilting moment.

1. Heat treatment of slewing ring bearing track and gear:

The raceway of the slewing ring bearing is treated by induction quenching on the surface, and the quenching hardness is kept at HRC55-62, ensuring a sufficient hardness depth for quenching.

For the purpose of transmitting power, one ferrule of the slewing ring bearing will be equipped with gear teeth. Heat treatment of the gear is generally normalized or quenched and tempered. The gear surface can also be quenched according to user requirements. The quenching hardness is HRC50-60, and a sufficient depth should be ensured. Due to different applications, gear quenching can be divided into full tooth quenching and single tooth induction quenching. Single tooth induction hardening can be divided into tooth surface tooth root quenching and tooth surface quenching.

2. Custom temperature and operating environment for slewing ring bearing:

The slewing ring bearing can work normally from -300C to +700C. If users tend to use the slewing ring bearing at a lower or higher temperature, our company can provide custom design. If the slewing ring bearing is used in a particularly harsh environment, such as marine climate, dust or abrasive particles, sand dust, cement and coal powder, it will be necessary to select special sealing rings, protective equipment, and suitable oil passages. Therefore, in order to ensure the normal effect of your slewing ring bearing, daily maintenance is required.
